Industrial Hygiene & Monitoring Services
arch environmental group began in
1995 primarily as an asbestos consulting firm, specializing
in school district specific work such as: inspections,
specification development, project management and air
monitoring/analysis. In the years to follow, arch environmental group has diversified to offer all types of indoor environmental
services including, but not limited to: lead-based paint,
indoor air quality, mold, industrial hygiene and numerous
health and safety program services. Specific information
regarding all of arch environmental group's services can be found on the
following pages:
With ten (10) Michigan accredited asbestos inspectors, arch environmental group remains one of the largest asbestos consulting and testing firms in the State. arch environmental group also has Michigan Accredited Management Planners for your AHERA required record keeping and Michigan Accredited Project Designers for required project designs and specification development. arch environmental group is currently applying for accreditations in other Midwest locations.
arch environmental group's asbestos program is complemented by our lead-based paint services. Our Michigan Accredited Lead-Based Paint Inspectors and Risk Assessors can assist you in all facets of lead-based paint projects. Whether you required OSHA compliance assistance or HUD compliance inspections and risk assessments, arch environmental group is prepared to help.
arch environmental group can work closely with you to
solve your sick building syndrome or building related
illness. Our staff utilizes industry standards as developed
and/or sanctioned by the American Indoor Air Quality Council
and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air
Conditioning Engineers. Although the majority indoor air
quality issues are not regulated (by agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency or the Occupational Safety & Health Administration), arch environmental group maintains
a staff trained and experienced in indoor air quality issues
and accredited through the American IAQ Council.
Although government regulations do not exist for mold and biological services, all work is overseen by our Certified Microbial Consultant and our Certified Industrial Hygienist. Unlike most of our competition, arch environmental group has been conducting these services since we opened our doors in October of 1995. Services have expanded over time to include items such as bacteria and MRSA.
In addition to typical health & safety
services such as confined space, lock-out/tag-out and hazard
communication, arch environmental group has developed a unique
service for occupied buildings undergoing construction. This
program has been established to ensure quality indoor air
and safe conditions for schools, hospitals and businesses
that must remain open while their facility receives
renovations.
According to the dictionary, industrial
hygiene is a science devoted to the anticipation,
recognition, evaluation, prevention, and control of those
environmental factors or stresses arising in or from the
workplace which may cause sickness, impaired health and well
being, or significant discomfort among workers or among
citizens of the community. arch environmental group's Certified Industrial Hygienist and Industrial Hygiene Staff are well versed in jobs involving health concerns such as
chemicals, noise, heat or other stress factors.
